Highland is 2-2 as they beat West Mesa and Sandia but lost to Rio Rancho and Alamogordo. They have a super speedster at QB but not much else.....

I'm still fuming that Alamogordo (4-1) lost to Carlsbad 28 to 27 as our all state kicker missed the extra point to tie and then we recovered the onside kick only to miss again a field goal to win from 25 yards out.

Ouch...Is the Tailback that moved from LC Onate still playing for Alamo? He was a monster...Signed with UNM I think.

Thanks 6'3. Highland's glory days of the 80's and early 90's are over. The demographics of the neighborhood have changed for the worst and the hub of ABQ football activity has gravitated to the northern part of town. Every time I'm in the HHS neighborhood, I feel like I need body armor and an AK-47 for protection.

Problem is Highland has lost alot of its enrollments in the last few years as Kirtland AFV has been tearing down old housing units and will build new ones to replace but it will be a while before that happens. Also losing their long time Head Coach Judge Chavez over to Cibola has hurt too. They are installing brand new artificial turf at the high school which will be real nice but won't be completed until around november....

Really disappoiinted with the NMAA as the game wasn't on so they shouldn't advertise it if they can't show it. (here comes the nasty e-mail). However after reading about it ....what a game as Las Cruces high (6-0) wins it 46 to 45 over Artesia (5-1).
Sidenote.... my Hometown Alamogordo (5-1) wins again 38 to 26 over Hobbs as our field goal kicker Scottie Gallardo kick a 58 yard field goal in the game as thats a new school record. He miss 2 short field goals in our 28 to 27 loss to Carlsbad a few weeks back so i'm sure he's feeling better now.
District 3 AAAAA
Las Cruces ............6-0
Las Cruces Mayfield 5-1
Alamogordo ...........5-1
Las Cruces Onate....2-4
Anthony Gadsen......0-4

Tough Conference there. Looks like LC, Mayfield and Alamo will all make the playoffs.
I read about last nights wild game (LC Sun news online). Didn't know they could not show it. Forgot to tune in.

Tomights game of the week in New Mexico is going to be a good one as
Las Cruces High 6-0 at Alamogordo 5-1
Anyway i know who i'll be rooting for and i know the Las Cruceans (ibarrio) out there will be pumped also. I hope its a good game as Southern NM usually rules in Football.
