I went with my friend to the animal shelter in Alamogordo and saw a wonderful, sweet, calm, adorable dog.

Shepherd Mix
Cream color
2-3 years old
33 pounds

I am in love with her and want her to find a family

They'll put her down on Friday

She's in Kennel Number 27!!!

I have pictures of her too, so let me know if you are interested ok.

Please spread the word.

Thomas,
I have forwarded your message to the dog rescue network in Clovis to see if they have any Alamo connections that can help. In the meantime, can you get the dog out and hold her until a family is found? I'll bet if we all work together we can come up with something.

Good for you for spreading the word. I hope we can someday change these kill shelters to adoption centers.

P.S. If you or anyone else reading wants to know about the shelter in Clovis, you can read about my experience there at Zees Go West: Down at the Dog Jail. I've included information about the kind of shelters we should be working toward.

You might also post this on a) the pet forum here, and b) the animal forum on eBay (yup, there's an animal dicussion board on eBay). Can't hurt.

Oh, and in the pet section on Craigslist, too. All free sites.

Great news, though, glad she found a home. Wow! See what we can do?

P.S. I'm sure there are plenty of others waiting.
