I am currently working in the Hobbs, NM area, I will be hiring temporary construction crafts and will need housing information for these folks as they hire in to the job. I need to know the availibility of housing in the areas surrounding Hobbs, NM. Does anyone have information they could share with me. I am wondering about the following areas in NM - Tatum, McDonald, Lovington,Knowles, Humble City, Buckeye, Maljamar, Arkansas Junction, Monument, Oil Center, Eunice, Nadine, and of course Hobbs, NM. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Of all the "communities" you've listed, probably Hobbs and Lovington are the only two really viable locations. MAYBE Tatum or Eunice. Hobbs is the largest "city" in Lea County and while smaller, Lovington is the county seat. I think all that's left of some of those places you listed is a sign next to the highway.

I'd check with the Hobbs and Lovington Chambers of Commerce. My guess is that both have one unless there is a "Greater Lea Conty Chamber of Commerce" or something to that effect. They should have a list of suitable places. Of course they would be partial to their dues paying members.

All that being said, you never know what you'll run across. Maybe somebody "closer to the action" will report in.
