Hello, I will be moving to Farmington to go to school. Can anybody tell me what side of town is the safest to rent? I hear there are a lot of break ins etc. any info will help. Thank you

Stay to the north and east.

I lived east of Browning Parkway and north of 64/Bloomfield Highway in a newer subdivision. Never had any problems, but that's as far west as I would go, personally.

See, on the western half of Farmington lies the Navajo Reservation. They, like most other Native American tribes, unfortunately suffer high rates of homicide, suicide, violence and depression. Like everyone else said, crime is significantly higher the closer you get to the rez, but by no means is it a utopia elsewhere.
