Not everyone is as materialistic as you are cali -girl. That is one reason why i moved from san diego to ABQ. I absolutely love it hear and it is some of the most beautiful scenery I have seen. I honestly don't need those "high end stores" to make me happy. I really feel sorry for you if that is all you are looking at.....

Default New Mexico

Hello there, I am from New Mexico, lived in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, loved it, no problems at all. I lived in California for a while, there is crime there but I loved it there too. I think in any city no matter what state there is crime. I am now living in a small town in Az. but I am ready to go home, to my beloved New Mexico, it is truly magical there, that is what I feel.

I was there just in May and it was hard to leave. Follow your heart and do not go by what other's may experience. If there is a calling there for you, follow it, there is a reason for everything or anything that come's into your life....everyone's experience is different, again follow your heart. But, New Mexico is my home, it is a place that I love and always will, my time there was beautiful and fulfilling and I am ready to go back home....lakota.woman

While I don't want to seem hateful Or vulgar, it seems some people are being very critical of our lovely city and I have only this to say to them: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE, PLEASE, GO, GO AWAY AND LEAVE OUR BEAUTIFUL CITY FOR THOSE OF US WHO APPRECIATE AND LOVE IT HERE. i have lived here for over 30 years and i have always loved it here. NO place is perfect. if you don't appreciate the culture here, the beautiful nature we have, the gorgeous weather and the NON-racist environment, You Don't Belong Here. I'm Sick of hearing people gripe about a place that I love so Much. I am a blonde hair blue eyed woman and I have always felt safe here. We raised a lovely daughter here and all the kids here are Great ALL thekids in our town. Crabby people can find things wrong, everywhere they Go and are Never happy. Or, maybe you just need to be somewhere Else. I would not be so Rude as to go on a public forum and complain about a city that somebody else Loves. Keep it to yourSelves (people who don't like Albuquerque)>

My idea of a high end store is my local hardware store. Beyond that the malls of outlet stores on Rt 1 in Kittery, Maine. I walk through a place like the Mall of New Hampshire and wonder why is all this stuff here?
