Yeah i'd rather support a gas tax increase as even tourists and business travelers will have to pitch in for new construction where as raising the Registration Fees that will only effect us New Mexicans to pick up the tab......

Are you referring to state or federal gas tax? The Fed tax isn't divvied out based on population or even consumption, but by which state has the most powerful senator, er best negotiator on the Transportation Committee......with the two Alaska senators in hot water, maybe the funds will be split more equitably in the future.

Unhappy Traffic on Paseo Del Norte in rush hour

Am I the only one who finds this road terrifying to drive on, especially in rush hour? I was on it at 6pm last night and had a death grip on the steering wheel. Guess I need to get out more....

It is terrifying at times... Going West in the afternoon rush hour... I try to avoid it when possible. My wife commutes every day and could take Paseo, but prefers not to.

You gotta be kidding me. Try driving on the 110 freeway or merging on to the 405/101 exchange in L.A. Now THAT is a terrifying drive!

Not the scariest I have ever encountered, but try it on a motorcycle....

Another one bit the dust a few days ago.

Aggravating! The whole east <--> west thing got old immediately!

As a newby, I'm like "We need more bridges!" But I'm sure that's a whole can of worms.
