About 75% of all the yearly moves occur during the summer months because of vacations, school schedules and the real estate markets. I always seemed to be in the south during the summer and the north in the winter! BTW, the Panhandle of Texas can be a bad place to be in the winter; like major winter weather! Steve
Yes.....I did take breaks from having to inspect equipment....and returned to the air-conditioned office trailer to cool off. My head was pounding...and I couldn't breathe as well as I can in drier air.

I hear you on the Panhandle.....Dalhart and the upper part can get especially cold. There is a saying in Amarillo.....(according to my friend who lived there)...."The only thing between Amarillo and the North Pole is a barbed wire fence..."

I'm glad the temp is mild in Timberon. I want our place to make it through the winter.
As far as Texas, the humidity is too much for me and that's one of the reasons NM helps.
Well, I look forward to when y'all are here for good.....and can come over to the house sometime for supper or out to eat again!

I hear you on the humidity in Central Texas......it can get bad!

You winterized the place in Timberon, so it should be fine.

I move we keep bugging HEB about opening an El Paso location....LOL!!!

That great; I love it having been in Amarillo a time or two; and it's absolutely true! Would a Texan ever over embellish a story? NAH!!!

What is HWB?

I'm going to assume that is a typo, and you mean HEB.....which is an outstanding grocery chain in Texas and Mexico.

They have everything......great fresh produce, spices, exotic peppers, et al..the name of the store comes from the owner/originator, H.E. Butts......

There are different levels, too....HEB Central Market in Austin has everything, including the kitchen sink.

HEB would be correct! Not a typo, just my horrible spelling! I can"t spell a 3 letter acronym correctly! Tu deberia ver mi ortografia en Espanol, hasta no puedo leer lo que escribo! You should see my writing in Spanish, the spelling is so bad that I can't read what I wrote; neither can a Spanish speaking person!

How long has HEB been around? I don't remember seeing any of their markets in the 70's and mid-80's. HEB would be like a Kroger's, Safeway or Grand Union; I remember seeing their markets all over the South. Thanks for the info!

I shopped at HEB in the 1970s when we lived in San Antonio.

And I still head to HEB Central Market when I am in Dallas.

[Mod Cut]

HEB has been around forever.....below is a link to the history. If it is removed, you can google HEB and find it!

Your writing in Spanish is excellent! And you are using a Spanish keyboard! Very good! I use an English keyboard and I do not know the meaning of most of the special words!

How long have you studied the Spanish language? I started learning Spanish about 2 years ago. My reading and writing proficiency is fair to good, but my speaking proficiency es muy mal! (is very bad!)

Thanks for the info link on HEB; I'll check it out.
