Moving to Kirtland , New Mexico
My husband is an officer with the RAF in UK and we are posted to Kirtland AFB for the next 3 years. We move in March and I am trying to research the area to see where the best place to rent a house would be. Ideally we'd like to live fairly close to Kirtland to minimise travel time for my husband but we're also keen to live in a friendly, safe neighbourhood.
We are expecting our first child 9 weeks after we arrive so any advice on choosing a hospital and obstetrician would also be great. We've been reccommended the Presbyterian and University of New Mexico Hospital but it is all so different to the UK maternity system that I don't know where to start!
Thankyou.

Hey Rose ....a good rule of thumb of where to live is anywhere north of Interstate-40. One only area(s) south of I-40 that's nice is east of Kirtland AFB which are known as Monzano Mesa and Four Hills. Other than that stay north of I-40 and you should be fine.
Both hospitals you mentioned are the top 2 in albuquerque.
Anything else just ask and one of us on here will answer your questions.
