DropZone is on a distinguished road
Default Aircraft Noise Impacts in Meadow Lake Los Lunas

Howdy,

In late 2005 the 58th SOW out of Kirtland Air Force Base established a 'drop zone' for training of C-130 and helicopter crews located on the southeast side of Meadow Lake.

Has anyone noticed any increase in noise level in Meadow Lake or Los Lunas? I live near the location of another drop zone proposed here in New Mexico and would like to hear from folks that live near the Centerfire Drop Zone if you find the noise bearable, not noticeable, or "something else." If you don't want to post on the forum please drop me a note to arsenic 'at' nmt 'dot' edu.

Buenas!
