What is the cell phone coverage like? Im thinking of getting a tracphone for the road? wondering how it will do in roswell up 70 to Ruidoso down to alamagordo and LC, how much roaming am I looking at? Coverage?

Should have service all the way. The roaming will depend on where you list the phone as the home area. You would probably be better off to use what ever phone you have (if you have one)

Tracfone is an excellent choice for your use. However, you need to be careful which model of Tracfone you get. The best carrier in most of New Mexico is Alltel, so you'll need a phone that will roam on their network. Make sure the phone you get is "CDMA" technology and not GSM. You'll find out by looking on the box, asking the retailer, or looking up the phone model on the internet.
