The NM mountains are now as lush and green as I've ever seen them. Unlike most recent years, forest fire danger is low. The ski areas are looking forward to a good season, which they haven't had in awhile.

The rain this year is VERY welcome after multiple years of severe drought across most of the state.

The desert is also greener than its been in years. I drove across the southern sandhills from Alamogordo to El Paso the other day and was pleased by the rare green treat.

That's what I mean.
A wet, soggy, Summer will usually lead to an icy, accident prone, winter.

Guess I'm either heading down to a perpetually hot place of I decide to stay in the trucking field any longer.

People ought to note that someone who chooses to live in Clovis will not be swayed by arguments of pretty mountains ,or lush meadows ,anymore than someone who just escaped from prison is going to reconsider upon learning that the AM radios have been upgraded in each cell.

Face it, I don't really belong any where and only chase green paper.

It's good for the tumbleweed and the bugs love it.

I also probably wouldn't be complaining about this rain so much if I didn't have to dress up like a cop(ie wearing trousers/pants/etc) for work all the time.
Nothing worse than getting soaked and being required to be fully covered for your de-facto, outdoor-related, job.
