Apache Flats, Welcome to Timberon!!! I have been up in Timberon and enjoying the deer. Plus painting and we have taken down trees that need to come down.
Have a few questions, when in March are you coming out? Also where are you building? Hope that you will be a neighbor or close by. With all of us up there we could have fun..

Your dogs should be OK, and the cats also after they get used to the area. I would suggest keeping them in at night.

Jane

I always go to this page when I am getting that need to know what is happening there. We have come by way of San Antonio from Galveston. But, I think we are going to try to come by way of Austin this time. The map says it is shorter - but who knows -fewer miles don't always make for the shortest trip. It usually takes us about 14 hours. I have two cats and a dog. We would like to bring them for the summer, but I am not sure if they will be okay - outside. The dog is large and she stays right with us. The cats are generally pretty good about staying close, but I am not sure about what will happen in the new environment.

Well, again we are champing at the bits to get there. Hope to meet some of you then.

Jane, thanks for the response. We will be building at the end of Hoover Drive. We are right at the end of the subdivision. We will be coming around the middle of March. I am a retired school counselor and I still work some days filling in for folks. So, we will be coming during the spring break. I would love to meet up with some of you while we are there. Thanks for the advise on the animals. I have a large carring cage for them, so I can keep them in that at nights. Did you get snow this week? We got the tail end of the storm coming across the country. We, of course didn't get snow, but we did get a lot of rain. Have a great day out there!

Default Welcome!

Hi Bev:

How cool is this? To get to know neighbors-to-be - before we even live there? My husband & I have an acre over on the west side (Homewood).
Unfortunately, we won't be building the house until 2010. You guys can blaze the trail with permits, contractors, builders, etc - along with others who are already in the building process.

Will look forward to meeting you this summer!

Joyce

Bev, When is Spring Break? Dates..LOL Some schools have it different than others. Pipeweld(David) and his wife have a place over towards yours. We were to meet up with them, but they were sick. So will meet them in July.
As for snow we got about 1", now what we needed.
Joyce, will be anxious to meet up with you this summer also.

It is great to get to know folks before we even get there. We will leave here the morning of March 15. That should put us in Timberon on the 16th. That is if my husband doesn't get so excited that he goes without me. It has been a long time since he has been so excited. We would love to meet up with you all while we are there. We will stay a week or two and then come back to Galveston then return in June. Wish we could stay through, but we have some things to do here in April and May.

Hello, I thought I'd chime in by saying that we need more snow here in Timberon for our water table.
And poor Cloudcroft with that water leak they had. I'm glad they found it.
I posted a video on youtube of the news report.
