Bear's mom: we are close to you then. You live over closer to Jane so we are all close neighbors.
David, will you be over by us all also?
Sounds like we need to have a big dog party and get everyones dogs together.
Jane: thanks for the yard comment.lol
Hopefully, we will be there permanately in July. Keep your fingers crossed. Our house has been on the market since last July.

Hi:
We had the septic put in & water line brought from the street & the driveway done this fall..... we got pictures from the contractor - so now we are even more ready to start
building -can hardly wait. we will be over this summer to put up the garage (probably July or Aug) when it so awful here........would be great to meet all of you & your respective 4 legged "kids". We are crossinng fingers, toes & eyes, that the real estate market bounces back before we list our house!!!

No we are on the other side of the runway on Barracuda. But we do have three half australian shepard-half blue heelers, Orphan sister we adopted at 6 weeks old, Three years ago last Dec. But as the Mountain goes we are not to far from any where !!! I'm jealous thought it will still be several years before we get to make the permanant move.

Hi Chilegal
How long have you lived there? When Pete, my husband, was over in Nov..getting the
project started...........he had 4- 20+ deer there frequently.....one of the doe that was brave had some Fritos out of his hand - they were all enjoying the Juniper berries from the trees that they cut down. I have all kinds of questions .... re: weather, plants that will grow, the back way to EP.all sorts of things - if you don't mind???
Thanks.

Weather, I check this site a lot 7-Day Forecast for Latitude 32.64N and Longitude -105.68W (Elev. 7082 ft)
Plants that will grow need to be in the zones for about 7,000 feet. I have not tried to grow anything. There may be other locals that would know this better.
The back way to EP, I have not been on it, and after the rain a few years ago not sure how it is, it was washed out, but may be fixed now. That may be an ATV road trip..LOL
Ask away, someone will answer.

The temperatures look okay, but it seems to be windy most of the time during the next forecast period. Is it usually windy, or does it just happen to be now? Ft Worth isn't usually as windy as it's been recently. It's like spring is already here, although still not very warm.
I wondered whether there is a back way to EP from Timberon that is passable on a street motorcycle. I'm sure it would be easier on a dual-sport bike.

Joe, I think its just windy now like Ft Wroth. It usually quiet and a bit of wind if any. I will have to check about the back way, or maybe Egglady would have heard. Pipeweld will be up next week and he may know also. I do know its all gravel and rocks all the way.
When we came down to Alamo the other night we saw more elk than cars on the road to CC. And this year there seems to be a lot more turkeys than last year along the road. Love seeing the wildlife, as long as we don't hit it..And there is always the deer.

OK, thanks, just wondered. I like all the wildlife, but I sure wouldn't want to hit a deer or elk (or anything, really) on a motorcycle! The idea of that will certainly slow you down.

That's Charlie's biggest fear is hitting a deer on his motorcycle and that's here in texas.
