Default I need some advice about motels and what areas to check out.

My wife and I will be coming to Las Cruces in early June to see if the area has the feel we are looking for as a place to retire to. I could use the name of a decent (doesn't have to be fancy just clean & quiet) reasonably priced motel or hotel.

Are there areas that we should avoid and areas we should concentrate on? We would prefer not to live in a subdivision unless we can have a lot where the neighbors aren't on top of us. Our maximum price is $250k.

I stayed in this Inn and had a good experience, and one of the best meals ever in their restaurant. It is in the old quarter.
