I'm sad to announce that our friend, fellow CD user, and New Mexico resident Hunter Wold has passed away last night after a painful battle with prostate and bone cancer. It's been about 17 months since he last posted, but I know he had many friends here who remember him.

Rest in peace my friend, and I know you are in a much better place now. A place without pain and suffering. Bless you for a life well lived!

Mods, if you could change his status to "Eternal Member", it would be a great tribute to him.

Is there a way to send a mass direct message to all the people on his friends list?

He was a long time member. I only heard from him once on a dm but he gave some solid information about his local area and also the area of Glenwood, Pie Town, and the rest of Catron County. I was familiar regarding where he lived, having been through Fence Lake a time or two.

RIP, HW!

Thank you for your condolences. It was a surprise to see that the news found its way to City Data. Hunter Wold was my husband for 9 years, love of my life. He put up a brave battle against the cancer which wasn't diagnosed until August 2015. Hormone injections and related drugs often work for many men with metastatic prostate cancer. I told him he just had too much testosterone! ;-) He was a good man and I miss him.
