Cathy ...whats happening down in Alamogordo. Are they still building all the new houses along South Florida. Have they started to widen South Florida to the Golf Course?

Hows the new construction on the North ByPass by the new Movie Complex doing. Any thing else happening until i get down there this spring.

My dear Harry.....your Alamogordo is as pretty as ever.....but it's HOT. It got up to 72 today......no snow. No skiing.....not even Ski Apache (not with a 12 inch midway depth, LOL!!!)....

I have not been out much because I am working like crazy to get my house in shape (yes, I'm lazy and tired, LOL!!) before my family descends on me next month. Even if they decide not to come, this junk MUST get finished, and my house livable! I just got the living room furniture arranged, and am going through some more boxes....did the garage yesterday.

White Sands is working on 2-3 homes on my block...and I bet it won't be long until they start west of me. I certainly did pick a convenient location.....very close to everything/everywhere I go (but then, it is a small town)...!!

So....I will update you when I get out and about....have you decided on Alamo for relocation?

Maybe Jane can fill you in......

Hey Cathy,....

Glad to hear all is well with Youself and Alamo. I'll probably be down in April to visit the area as springtime down there is awesome. Still hanging tight up here as i just take it month to month for now until i decide.

Anyway the next time You or Jane get out and about around there fill me in as to whats happening around town.

Until next time !!

Houses still going up but construction has slowed down some all over the place.
Have not started on south Florida and the extension to the bypass is still dirt.
The big water tank is up and ruining the skyline on the bypass though

I see that they are voting to day in Alamo and Tularosa for the Road Tax and city Councilors as i hope the tax passes as they really need to fix the roads in those cities. Also sad that long time Alamogordo Mayor Don Carroll is retiring after 25 years as city Councilor and Mayor. He really started Alamo on the path of growth when he first was elected back in the early 80's especially in 1985 when all the new Housing out by the Golf Course and across from the Mall first started.

From what he said at his retirement party last week, he's just ready to retire...and I think I would be, too, after all of that time.
