Snow in Illinois / 18 inches
Sure wish I was in New Mexico right now. Your snowstorm looks to be just my speed. I can live with a few inches that melts the next day. We just got 18 inches of snow here in western Illinois with drifts to 3 feet deep. Needless to say today we had no shools, no garbage pick up, and the postal service never showed either. So much for the mail must go thru. Hopefully in a day or two the area will be plowed out. For info, a pick up truck with a plow on it is useless in this snow. You need the big dump truck type with large plow to get thru the 3foot drifts. No fun here. Wish I was in NM.

Here is a picture from the top of Cumbres Pass, September 21 of this year. I think it was the first snow of the year in New Mexico

I'm with you, just got through another Lake Effect snowstorm here in upstate ny. Winters are just alot more tolerable in the southwest than the midwest or eastern parts.

I've got a couple of snow photos that I'd like to share, but can't figure out how to include them in a message.
What's the secret?

You can do it two ways. First, you can use INSERT IMAGE (little yellow landscape icon that looks like a mountain). You will have to insert the internet address for the forum to link to. To get the picture's address, just right click on the picture and choose properties. Then copy and past the address (will begin with http) into the insert image box.
The other way is to use the attachment feature (paper clip icon). This actually posts the picture into the forum; however, the file size is limited. You can use this feature when you have the picture on your computer. All you need to do is use the "browse" function to locate the picture file location.

Here's a photo I took outside my house on Nov. 30th. There wasnt much scenery so I focused on what looked good in the snow.
Sorry guys if you use dialup, it may take a bit.

Lovely picture of adobe home.....but there don't seem to be any clickable links...?
With every page refresh, the number at the bottom increases, but the photo doesn't change.

Cathy 4017,
Thanks for giving it a go. Try clicking on "Snowy Days", then clicking on "Slideshow". That should do it.
If not, please let me know.
