Default Thanks Poncho

That tread is from 2010. Hope things have improved more in 7 years
Our research has us going with Verizon at this point .
The subdivision (La Mesa) is probably already set up with some type of cable service, so we may be stuck with what's available there.
Our home here went under contract the day before it went on market. Will be very happy to get out of the snow. Got 12-16 inches in the last few days.

LaMesa has Comcast cable and internet (with VOIP if you want it), and DSL and land lines from Century Link. We're just down the road from you and cell phone service is spotty, generally because of all the hills. We typically get 0-1 bar (Tracfone using Verizon towers), so I'd suggest wifi compatible phones. Dish and DirecTV are available everywhere.

The quality and level of cell phone service has been a sore spot here for awhile, but the terrain is just not conducive to clear service. It may be better if you are near 165, but we're amongst the hills. There have been some discussions and letters in our local paper. You can check here:

Our phones are wifi setup, our home here in the mountains has to have a booster tower. It gives us great service. We will be on a higher area so hoping for the best. Both retired so lots of hiking & biking. We volunteer a lot, so outside a lot.
We are so ready to leave the 8896 feet we are at now.
Thanks for the information
