If anyone has it, I'd like some information on classes for Food Handlers Cards (aka red cards, I think) on the Navajo Reservation; specifically in Tse Bonito/Window Rock. I have the number for the Environmental Health Agency, but no one ever seems to answer their phone or return calls from there. Any help would be appreciated.

Let me share a true story...

I was contracted by a retail chain years ago to do all the ground work to open a store in Shiprock. I spent over 2 years trying to work through the bureacracy. Finally, sitting in the office of one of the stonewallers in Shiprock one afternoon, I finally just asked her "How long is this permitting process to open the store going to take?".

She looked straight at me, smiled, and said "We can take as long as you want...".

It's a completely different way of doing business out there. Good luck.

We have a unit in Shiprock. We're trying to open one in Tse Bonito, too. Hopefully, the fact that we've already done it will work in our favor. I can't name the place (because i''m working as an agent for my husband and not "technically" the primary), but I'm hoping not to have that much trouble. Being Bilagaana doesn't help.
