I'm a single female currently living in Texas, thinking about relocating to Alamogordo. I've visited there a couple of times and really liked it.. Wanting a small town environment instead of city. I currently am self employed cleaning houses. I stay busy and make good money. I bid by the job instead of by the hour and I average $25 an hour. Most of my clients want their houses cleaned every other week. Just wondering if I could stay busy cleaning houses in Alamogordo and if the wages would be comparable? Thanks in advance for your input!

I suspect you'll have a harder time earning that much in Alamogordo. Hourly wages are generally low for unskilled labor and there is a LOT of competition with a large Hispanic labor pool regionally - not just in Alamogordo. Finding RELIABLE help is often a problem and might offset other factors once a person has a reputation for a good reliable work ethic.
