Hi:

Just wondering if anyone knew of a nice mellow coffee shop to hang out at? Not the florescent yuppie starbucks places, just an out of the way low key little place. Thanks.

When i'm on the West Side/Rio Rancho area i really like the ''3rd Alarm Coffee'' shop on the corner of Paradise Blvd and Universe next to the Giant Gas Station as its very cozy in there. I know there are some in Bernalillo on U.S. 550 but i don't remember the names.

Default Best Coffee / Coffee house in New Mexico?

Nominate your favorite coffee house in New Mexico.

I'm going with Milagro in Las Cruces.

Milagro is nice.

For Albuquerque I like Java Joe's on Park Ave, or RB Winnings.

Aztec Cafe in Santa Fe was my regular place when I lived there.

Of all the coffee shops in New Mexico, I have probably been to 0.01 percent of them -- so I can say what I like -- but are they the best?

Super Chief in Las Vegas. Good food as well as coffee and free internet. And a used book store upstairs. I haven't been there for a while.

The Java City in the new Nambe convenience store. It is brand new, so may not hold up. But very comfortable ambience and they sell items by local artists.

My favorate is the ''Plateau Expresso'' in Alamogordo on North Scenic Drive on the side of the mountain overlooking Alamo across from the Hospital as the view on the outside patio is very nice and they are always friendly whenever i've been there.

Milagro in Las Cruces by far. Their coffee roasting is so good that they actually are providers for the Intelligentsia coffee chain up here in the midwest.
