Try sunshine, 66°, 12% humidity, a light breeze blowing, a nice neighborhood with the Sacramento mountains in my face in the front....the San Andres out the back......little traffic, a great internet connection, good cable TV (and NO dish needed), the basic shopping, Cloudcroft, Mayhill, Timberon, Ruidoso, Las Cruces and El Paso only a few miles away.......and skiing in a good year at Ski Apache...an easy drive home to Texas...et al.
Top all that off with basically very nice and friendly people, unlike some who wander by this forum and have nothing better to do than make snide remarks....
6/3 I'll see you that and raise you this. I try not to limit myself to the offroad. Besides you have to get there somehow. Why not start your adventure at the end of your drive way.

Hey that's great with me dude as i think you'll have a blast crusing the 100's of miles of roads in the Sacramento Mountains and also all sound New Mexico and the Desert Southwest/Rocky Mountain Region. Enjoy the great weather and again have a blast and welcome to New Mexico .
I just know there will be a dirt bike in my future. Some time this spring I will be picking up a '71 BMW R-75. This is a pretty good smooth gravel road bike so long as there is some tread on the tires.

That will probably go good out there at the Quebradas out by Socorro where you'll have a blast there Greg......
I am counting on it. Might even find a Suziki Samuri so I can take Anne along. Once we brought a motorcycle to the beach at Cape Hattaras back in the day. Really hard sand and very long feet up powerslides.
"Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end..." etc.
Hey Cathy....i felt bad for you about having very little snowfall in Cloudcroft this past winter so i found you a nice video of people skining up in Cloudcroft in the past so hang in there as it gets snow there. Isn't is so cool that Cloudcroft is only 20 minutes from Alamogordo.
