New Mexico is near Old Mexico and the beaches in Old Mexico are famous and cheap.

Gulf Shores is quiet, clean, safe, and inexpensive...especially when you compare prices there to prices for the same thing just across the state line in Florida. However, you'd have to fly into Mobile and probably rent a car to get there. Myrtle Beach is probably a little more accessible to air travel. Also, Gulf Shores does have hotels but the emphasis is on condos. You can rent a condo on the beach as cheap or cheaper per day than a hotel room...especially since you can fix your own meals in the kitchen. The chamber of commerce Web site is Gulf Shores Alabama - Orange Beach - Alabama Gulf Coast Vacations www (dot) gulf shores (dot) com.

Try the beaches in Old Mexico. Probably cheaper and less crowded than California.

I would move this thread to the appropriate forum, however, unfortunately I don't know where that would be. Thus, probably best to lock this one down.
(As the crowd moans in disappointment). |
