two2Tango is on a distinguished road
Default Mogollon

Greetings...
I saw that someone had posted my "whimsical" video about driving up the narrow road into Mogollon. When I clicked on the link, my video didn't load. Here is the direct link.

I've been going to Mogollon since the mid 1960s and it is an enchanting place, probably my favorite spot in New Mexico. My best experiences are from riding motorcycles up there, all the way from El Paso.

The road to the cemetery is on very poor shape and I'd advise using a 4-wheel drive. I barely made it up there in my E-350 Ford Van in October 2007.

This link will take you to my video...
YouTube - Mogollon, New Mexico Ghost town

(If that link doesn't work, just go to YouTube and type in my moniker "TuutuuTango."

I also have a short video of Mogollon I shot from my airplane, showing an aerial perspective. Last, I have an "artsy" video of Shafter, Texas ghost town on my YouTube account as well.

If you are looking for authoritative video on the area, look somewhere else. Mine are "light-hearted" and strictly for entertainment, not necessarily enlightenment.

MANY THANKS for making that video available again. I once made an attempt to drive up to Mogollon, but was deterred when the sign warned to go no further with RVs. I was pulling an RV trailer at the time. I recall barely being able to back it around to go back down to the main highway.

I found your video to show a "town" about twice as large as I had been led to believe it is. And aside from a bit of car sickness! - it was a fun ride.

Postscript: As with so many out of the way places, GOOGLE MAPS - STREET VIEW has been to Mogollon and you can literally walk at your leisure along Bursum Rd. and see the "town" in greater detail. There was even an elderly woman sitting at the entrance to the "Museum." Likely another ghost!
