Try Eastern New Mexico
We have low cost land and plenty of opportunities. Land is selling for about $400.00 per acre. San Jon is intersected by I-40, State Road 469 and Historic Route 66. Taxes are very low. This is a small rural community with a great school system. This is a very safe place to live. We need people and business to locate here. 20 miles from Ute Lake - Logan, NM which is rapidly growing.
Please check out our community. We would love to have you in our community or in our county.

Yes. This is really taking off. 18 hole golf course is being build. Many new homes planned. Real estate prices have really gone up in Logan, NM due to this development at the lake. Check us out. We are only 20 miles for Ute Lake. Great Opportunities.

Uh yeah... unless of course you happen to have a disability, are gay or lesbian, or you're African American.
I was going to ask "have you ever actually been there" but obviously you have as you're representing San Jon.
I'm sure my stalker will chime in and ***** me out for saying this.
It IS close to Amarillo, so that's a plus.

We are 90 miles from Amarillo. We have several people like you have described. I doesn't hurt to check it out.

I saw on the news this morning that there are 14-ft. snowdrifts outside of Clayton (NE NM). They're having to drop food, baby formula, and supplies to outlying homes that are trapped.
This is a pretty rare occurrence though. Last time anything nearly this bad happened was around 1997 I believe.

Just curious, sanjon -- you seem to be a booster of a part of the country that most people looking to relocate wouldn't think had a lot to recommend it, although depending on what one was looking for, does have its intrinsic good qualities.
Are you involved in real estate in that area?

Are there apartments for rent there?
What's the water situation like?
Is there anything to do beside shaking scorpions out of your boots in the morning, and putting on rattlesnake barbecues?
