Default Also moving to Los Lunas...

Hi. I'm moving with my two daughters, who are going into 9th and 6th grade. I'd love some information on what I can do this summer to help get my kids off to a good start. Both love soccer, and I already have them in the Los Lunas summer program. Maybe a good scout program, or 4H for the 11 y.o? Good church for a bible reading progressive? I'm looking at housing from up by the high school, Around Valley View and Drake, down to Canal Blvd. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary

PS: Another cold, rainy day here in Vermont. Brrrrr.

Same here up in WI, Gary! (except the rainy part...yet).

Los Lunas is a nice, growing community - in the low 90s for highs the last two days!, a little hot but going back to the 70s and 80s coming up.

Have a blast in your move! I envy you!

You should be able to find plenty to do. My mother lives across from the high school. I am sure your girls will be happy that they have built a movie theater, cold stone, chillis etc now. It has really taken off and homes prices are very good. If you need help feel free to email me. Jciddio@hotmail.com

Default Los Lunas is GREAT

I moved from the East Coast about 5 years ago. At first I lived in the city of Albuquerque but since moving to Los Lunas 3 years ago I realize how great it is not to deal with the traffic and headaches and pollution of ABQ. I live on Crestview, the street above Valley View and love this neighborhood. Safe for walking and more kids are moving into the area all the time. AND My house is for sale! We want to downsize to a smaller house in the same neighborhood, though. Good luck in your move!

Default Vermont to Los Lunas

I prefer the Belen or South of Belen area to the Los Lunas or Tome area. But its too hot in those areas for me and the Smog from Albuquerque is not far Away. Also Everybody and their Grandma owns a horse or half a Dozen horses so the Smell at times might not be too Great not to mention the Flies and Mosquitos and the Rio Grande is Close by. pintada kid at webtv.net
