Border Patrol office in ABQ to close (Albuquerque: crime, legally)

Since Albuquerque has been named a sanctuary city, it seems we are now
gettting overloaded in our state, wait time at Presbyterian in the ER was
2 days, we are not checking ID's here. It seems AZ is dealing with
the border (and we are not) does anyone know INS can be sued if you are the victim of a crime invloving an un documented alien that is here illegally?

2 days is crazy but I agree. Went down there last year and there must have been 100 people waiting. Stayed about 1hr or so then just left.

Anybody can be sued for anything. However, your chances of being successful in a suit against INS are extremely remote. The government has immunity from suit, and the circumstances in which that immunity can be considered waived by the government, or that are exceptions to the immunity doctrine are few.

Most illegal immigrants are here to work, and do not cause problems. There are a few exceptions, but I think all the anti-immigration hysteria these days is thinly veiled racism.
