Thanks, Alison! Actually I'm planning ahead, so it's in a bit, but that was sweet.

Noda's in Rio Rancho is truly the best here in Albuquerque as far as food goes. The family is from Japan and the service is awesome.

We've never been disappointed at Azuma on San Mateo near Mcleod for sushi & Teppan. In Nob Hill, Crazy Fish has a nice balance of quality, value and look. Crazy Fish has this seafood salad that is a great value if you're into sashimi. It's full of big chunks of it. Don't order it alone! Order it as a kind of first course and it works out. Happy Birthday lalahartma

Oh, one time we we're at Crazy Fish for our 'day we met' date and the server caught wind of it. The chef's prepared and surprised us with a complimentary dish with octopus, masago and some other ingredients including this tasty orange sauce. It was exceptional service.

Oh! I haven't been to Noda, so I can't compare/contrast. Just putting that out there.

Now I've never lived more than a few miles from the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans so I may just be uneasy with this...

but can one really get good sushi that far inland?

If true, it's amazing that folks in New Mexico can enjoy great sushi but I can't a good bagel in Baltimore to save my tuches.

They fly it in, no matter where you be. I've had good sushi in Cleveland.
