Great towns in NM
Hello,
Im looking to move and for a change, but I really dont have more then a few ideas on where I would like to move to. It will be my best friend and I, both in our early 20's. If you've read any of my other posts, this is going to be a lot of repeating of myself, just to let you know We would love to find somewhere laid back, liberal with a sense of community, but that doesnt mind an individual at the same time. Im looking for a place that still values personal freedoms and if also forward thinking. If there is still a genuine hippie town out there, that isnt pretentious or just about college kids smoking weed and heatedly reading kerouac, then thats where I want to be!
thanks everyone!

UNM in Albuquerque comes to mind. What you described is at least half the college scene.

T or C?? The post said "forward thinking" and laid back, not dead and gone.

I'd think Silver City would interest you on what you'd asked.

Let me suggest Las Vegas as a place to look over. Some will tell you that the Hispanics there will not be welcoming, but that is not the way I found the town. For a small place, there is a lot going on.
But I would certainly come here and look over some of the suggestions before making a decision.

That is the one I was thinking about -- LV NM . I don't know anything about LV NV except that housing prices have fallen recently.
