Default Windy day!!!

HOLY COW!!!

It is VERY windy today in Santa Fe!!!

Are those of you in the rest of the state experiencing high winds?

I knew NM would be windy ..... but I also thought the wind was in the spring. Does it usually stay this windy into June?

We are getting strong gusts here in Zuni. Almost crushed my leg trying to get out from the car. Lucky I got catlike reflexes.

It's a VERY blustery day - Lots of wind! But, the sun is shining and the wind keeps the clouds moving, so I do not mind! The only downside is...it was NOT a good day to leave my long hair DOWN! Oh well!

I was outside from my office about 2 hours ago and with the wind, it felt darn frigid / April-like (and April-like in a Milwaukee sense...late FEB like in an ABQ sense!).

I am telling you guys, some gusty wind in NM - even when I experienced the worst of it in ABQ - is nothing compared to the weather in much of the US!!!

Amen to that - I was just reading about the flooding in Wisconsin and Iowa, and I'll definitely take the wind anyday.

I just received a cartoon about the weather - it is the BC comicstrip

One caveman asks: "What's the best sunblock you've got?"
The other hands him a slip of paper. So caveman one asks "What's this?"
The other replies "Directions to Seattle".

Our forecast sounds about EP's. Cold & wet, snow in the mountains.

My parents have been complaining about the wind there (south of Portales, NM) for about a year. Dad (who was born & raised there) said this was about the worst year for constant wind he could remember. And this spring/summer especially bad. Least it stirs the air, right???

What happened to the perfect 80 degrees you guys had yesterday???? In fact, the weather I felt in MKW yesterday was about as good as it gets, anywhere on earth. Deep blue skies, nice breeze, puffy white clouds, not too hot, not too cold, moderate humidity. Perfect!

This year has been especially windy, as the winds typically die down in late April / early May. I don't remember the last time we had the strong springs winds lasting into mid-June. Hopefully this is an anomaly rather than what we should start expecting. Joe Diaz said on last nights newscast that today should be the end of the winds, I sure hope he is right!
