Yeah the 450 and 750 are in the pics. Ive *heard* you can do 110MPH on the 450, with some juice to go further.

Yes, I've been through Kenton. I came up from Boise City, OK and continued on through Kenton into NM and into the thriving metropolis of Folsom. Back then, the road in NM was not paved, but it was gorgeous. I think the road numbers were 325 in OK and 456 in NM, but I'm relying on old memory.
The Kaw 450 would probably do 105 mph or so. My bike will do about 140, but I've only done that once!

I can't make it out for sure. Is it the road which runs generally north-south from just east of Clayton to just west of Kenton?

Yeah, that's the road I was talking about. How close can you get to Rabbit Ear Mtns? I've always wanted to see what they look like up close.
I'll have a look at your guide if that link works for me.
EDIT: That's a very good guide! Thanks. If the idea was to try to entice bikers to come there, I'd say you succeeded. It worked on me anyway! I suppose the Rabbit Ears are on private land.

Yeah it was to entice more bikers to come here, and possibly stay. Thats why I got some discounts for bikers too. Id say you can get within 1 maybe 1.5 miles from the Rabbit Ears. It is State Leased Land but last time I heard there is an area that you can walk up them. I can find out tomorow (as much as I can) if you want.

I borrowed a Honda 450 back in thw day and nearly dropped it when the centerstand grounded going around a right hand corner. I can only hope the Kaw 450 does not have the same problem.
I expect to buy a used BMW (GS series if I can afford one) when I retire to NM. Given teh weather I might not need a car.
