Jim G is on a distinguished road
Default Moving to Carlsbad NM

I have been offered a job in working in the Carlsbad area, should be there July 29, 2008 and I am looking for temporary housing until I can find something for when my family arrives later.
Also any information about the area, like quality of life (things to do), schools, etc would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The Caverns, The River, Living Desert Zoo & Gardens...not much else.

You can drive to Roswell for a bigger NM city/more things to do. Ruidoso for the pines. El Paso for the big city. The road from Carlsbad to El Paso is desolate...A two lane highway of nothing.
