Default Santa rosa new mexico

My Favorite place to visit and explore is Santa Rosa, New Mexico. They have the biggest swimming pool in the World the Park Lake with Paddle boats and lifeguard. The Rio Pecos runs through Santa Rosa and it is surrounded by lakes everywhere and in town and dont forget the Blue Hole. North of Santa Rosa and South and East are 3 big lakes for boating. Santa Rosa is a fast growing little city and soon to become a big tourist attraction on I 40. The Mexican Food is the Greatest all over town my favorite is Johnnys Comet Drive Inn hes been the owner and cook forever and the Red Beef Enchiladas with one egg over medium are the Greatest. pintada kid at webtv.net

We were thinking about a minibreak in Santa Rosa in a couple of weeks.

We were wondering if the beach waterpark got set up there yet or not (city of SR bought it all from auction here in ABQ).

Other than sunscreen and trunks, what should one bring along?

Default Santa Rosa Trip

Also like it was mentioned a camera and dont forget the fishing rod the Rio Pecos has Cat and the Lakes have Trout. Across from Johnnys Comet Drive in is the Road to PDL Puerto De Luna just a few miles south and go under the Bridge in PDL and fish for cat you might catch some turtles on your line also. Coronado named PDL Port of the Moon. The Old Bar Billy the Kid use to spend time at is in PDL. If you keep heading south out of PDL the Road turns to Dirt till you get to the Hideaway Lounge at Ft Sumner Lake. The Beach Equipment has not been set up yet but lots of Contruction and tearing down has taken place downtown around the Rodeo Theatre. Next to the National Guard Armory on your way to PDL is the Cattle Guard to a lake the Scuba Divers use to train theres a big plane under the Lake there might be times when you might be able to see part of the Plane. The Auto Museum is in Santa Rosa and i think they might have a museum at the lake north of Santa Rosa. pintada kid at webtv.net
