Default Wife's Grandmother is thinking about moving to NM

She is 79, working full time in a grocery store flower shop in Oxnard, CA., wants to move closer to us (Colorado Springs), and is really worried about snow.

Does anyone have advice on a mid to large city in NM that would keep her out of the snow, but as far North as possible? She would be looking for a condo in the $100-$135k range in a safe city that is maybe geared toward older folks.

Thanks.

Mike

Springer, Raton or Clayton may be the best option.
All the areas can get snow but not as much as CS.
Springer and Raton are right on the Interstate to CS and clayton is little over an hour to the Interstate.
