New Mex!! Got Psych?? Hmm? How about Fever Tree, Superfine Dandelion, Freeport, British Casuals, 13th Floor Elevators, Lost and Found, Chocolate Watchband, Electric Prunes, Gandalf, Bubble Puppy, Hobbit, Kim Fowley. Tell you what! You bring your progressive, I'll bring mine, buy an FM station w/ a 100,000 watt blowtorch capacity. Here's my prog list; Barclay james Harvest, Rare bird, Gun, Renaiisance, early Tull, Gong, Wild Man Fisher, Bo Hannson, Focus, Jan Akkerman, Tiffany Shade, Bohemian Vendetta, Soft Machine, Egg, Edgar Froese, Tangerine Dream, Porcupine Tree. I mixed up psych and garage-oh well, live in Colorado and post on a New Mexico thread so I am mixed up anyway. SERIOUSLY, the station from Window Rock is KTNN, 50,000 watts. I believe the station in Clovis is as well. A COOL station! Another 50,000 watter is KCKN in Roswell which plays oldies country. At night I can pull those stations in at my house. Clairz, if your'e reading, can you tell us more about the am oldies radio station out of your neck of the neighborhood? Is it all country? Don't they play some 50's rockabilly and rock? A quick note- KTNN (The Navajo Nation).

I do have Kim Fowley "Sunset Boulevard" on vinyl. Magma "Inedits", Phil Manzanera/801, Peter Hammil Ph7, Fred Frith & Bob Ostertag's "Getting Ahead" too. Let's fire up the transmitter!
Dukes Of Stratosphear (XTC alter ego) Yardbirds, Raiders Spirit of '67. Oh yeah, The Fugs.

I'm a world music fan, myself, so can't tell you about any Clovis AM radio stations from personal experience. However, you can take a look at the playlists of the two AM stations that play old stuff that I was able to find listed.

KCLV, 1240 AM: Radio Station KCLV 1240 AM Clovis NM

KWKA, 680 AM: Radio Station KWKA 680 AM Clovis NM

Gotta go look for escaped convicts now...

It sure is amazing to listen to Bad Company, Boston, ZZ Top, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skinner, Heart, Fleetwood Mac etc...etc...

Again they have a web site to listen online if you can't pick up the station and you hear all the local advertisements and local events etc...

The Classic Rock Experience (broken link) 101.5 FM Ruidoso NM

Thx tecpatl and cathy; both selections I'll try. I've done the sat. radio in a rental car last year actually and I was very pleased...no, or very few, DJ interruptions to boot. When it comes to most humans and me: less is nearly always more (you guyz are exceptions of course!!)

You could be right. I went to Moriarty this weekend, and could pick it up most of the way there... ~100 miles I guess.

Good to hear about it reaching Moriarity. I was in El Paso last weekend and it was fading out down there but EP is over 100 miles away from Ruidoso.

That's a reason I don't like to watch sports on tv. Too much talking bs and not enough action.

I can only receive this station very faintly driving around Las Cruces, which is a shame. Not many very good radio stations here.
