My husband stopped at it last year, as he was in the area working. He said not much to it.
If its your last weekend off, I'd find something else to do.
Considering that Hatch is a very small berg of a place, I can fully understand why it wouldn't overwhelm anyone.
For those who have never been to the 16th of September (or Cinco de Mayo) events in Old Mesilla - now THERE are events worth going out of your way for, IMO. These are weekend long events that attract large crowds.
I have not been to the annual Hatch Chile Festival yet. It is on a very long list of things to do, but there are higher priorities... I have some long time friends who live in the area and although they go when they are in town, they said it might not be worth the long drive for us.
