Default Clines Corners is 7200 Elevation

To get temps 20 and 25 below at Clines Corners and its about 50 miles south of Santa Fe is very Common. Most of the Elevations in the Center of N.M. are 5 to 7000 elevation. Albuquerque and Santa Fe are usually 15 to 20 degrees warmer then the Center of N.M. I would say because of the Warmth of the Mountains and Forests and Concrete and Blacktop and all that Body Heat. The Center of N.M. is out in the Open and usually Lots Colder then most of N.M. It wasnt a Cold Winter last year in the center of N.M. but we still got to 15 below or Colder. pintada kid at webtv.net

In San Juan County the BLM has a supply of wood for those who need it and cannot afford to pay for it. The local Salvation Army is the organization that will provide a voucher so that a client can get the wood from the BLM. I don't know how the rest of the state is handling it, but early indications are that people are going to have more trouble affording heat this year than in the past.

Maybe they should sell all those huge pickup trucks I see them filling up with gas, and perhaps even stop having so many children. That might help.

I almost agree with you. The problem for the wild animals is that they are losing their habitat at a very fast pace.

The population of the USA is growing extremely fast, it just doubled in the last 50 years and there is so much urban and suburban sprawl, housing developments going up overnight taking out thousands of wildlife habitat.

Coyotes, cougars, and bears become a problem because they cannot simply move because all these animals are territorial, they cannot just crowd in with others like humans are expected to do.

The animals are still where they were, but the new neighborhoods going up everywhere have little pets and children and the wild animals don't fit in.

Has anyone mentioned to you lately that you're somewhat of an idiot? Just asking.

Population will burden this country in the future.

And trucks are for hauling heavy/large items, not for groceries. Maybe you should have a permit to own a truck... proving that you will use it appropriately.

Wow, that came out of left field.

As long as it is only somewhat, that is fine. If you are upset with my comments regarding overconsumption and overpopulation in the world, I can't help you. People should start getting used to not having huge vehicles, and families they cannot support. The populace lately seems to be looking to blame the government or politicians or corporations for their troubles. There may be some blame to lay there, but individuals need to live by their means, and stop getting into debt. A good start would be to limit consumption of goods and number of children down to what you can afford so the rest of us don't have to pay for it.

Perhaps people have so many children so they can pack them together for heat?
