Willard is the Very Center of N.M. but by the center of N.M. anyone can look at a map and spot the Towns in the center of N.M. where the high elevations are. I would say from the East Mountains to Santa Rosa and From Moriarty to Encino and Vaughn along with Clines Corners is the center of N.M. along with Mountainair and Corona and Estancia. pintada kid at webtv.net

I just checked on a road map and drawing lines approximately from corner to corner leads to a spot on State Rt 42 about 20 miles SE of Willard. I would say anything within 40 miles of that is the Center of New Mexico.
