Can someone tell me exactly how to pronounce Tse Bonito?

Specifically, is it "See" or "Say" Bonito?

Thanks.

and that would mean what? Bonito is Spanish, but Tse? No sabe.
You don't mean Que Bonito How beautiful ? Actually, I'm the last person to be giving advice about Spanish...mine is pretty lame.

Default Tse Bonito

I think it is a combination of Navajo & Spanish........... a community on the AZ/NM border. I'm not sure of the Navajo either......( it is beautiful language but difficult - for me anyway...)..but I am pretty sure that "No se" means I don't know & 'no sabe' is he/she doesn't know.

Tse is Navajo for rock. It's pronounced sort of like the "ts" in "tsunami". Not a pure "s", but one with the t preceding it. Kinda like the sound between the words "hot seat", where your're picking up both the T and the S. Sorta. See if this helps:

Navajo Pronunciation Guide

There's also a book about Navajo place names that Hillerman wrote I think. Or maybe it's someone else's and it's about the places in his books. Anyway, it's a good reference if you want to know more.

The Pronunciaton is " Say" Bonito but is not a combination of Navajo and Spanish but rather a modification of the Navajo name Tsé Biniiʼ Tó

Tse is a drescripter, but I don't know what it means
But it's found in alot of different unrelated words
Tse-nihl= Axe
tse-ye-chee =cliff
Tse'-bit-A'i (say-bid-ah-ih) - Rock with Wings ( AKA Ship rock)
