Default Sub-forums for State Politics?

So, since we cannot discuss politics specific to the state we live in in the state forums, I propose sub-forums within the 'politics...' thread - one for each state.

Since the 'rules' are not enforced across the board, and some mods do allow political discussions specific to the states they moderate, this seems like the only (fair) outlet for those of us who feel that the politics of the state we choose to live in is as important as the weather, crime rates, etc.

Thoughts?

There is a Politics forum on City-Data already.

Why not use that with a New Mexico thread?

I would be all for it in theory, but it will not be just New Mexicans discussing our politics about our state, others will chyme in too so I would just create an NM in the politics section.

Politics and religion belong in there own separate sections. Too many opinions.
Talking about weather and crime probably won't start any arguments but politics and religion will definately get nasty.
Who needs that on the NM forum?

Love these new emoticans.
