I personally have not yet been out there but have done some research into the underground base suspicions and I gotta say...it is definitely a possibility that there is, was, and or has been a base in the area. I will say that the first time I ever heard anything about it was years back. As soon as I heard that there was a war with aliens and all that my first reaction was that this was all obviously some made up story, but years later following an experience I had with 4 others, had caused me to do some light research and then it had led me back to this topic of a base in the Dulce area. I had started researching more beyond the point of reading or relying on data from various places on the net. Instead of taking the stories and believing them to be fact I had more of my focus on who had 1st raised questions of "A" base (not yet jumping on wether alien, human, etc). That's when I came across Paul Bennewitz. Now instead of making the case on Paul I will just say that I believe he is the or one of the most important figures in the whole thing. I went as far as trying to get a hold of anybody who was directly involved in the whole episode and or anybody who had known Paul. Also had submitted FOIAs to which I got some odd replies. I have written down my findings and tried to compile everything I have come across and approached the information with out any preconceived notions. If anybody reading is interested in the report just reply to this and i will send my email. I want to just lastly say to anybody reading that, don't be so quick to disregard because when you look it starts to become less and less farfetched.

You may want to read "Dulce Base" by Greg Valdez. It is the actual case files from the police investigations surrounding the incidents around the area of the supposed "base". It will pretty much disprove all of the conspiracy theories around strange events on the Archuleta Mesa. It's available on Amazon.
