You sure do. We've lived here for almost two years and my husband STILL hasn't visited White Sands (I went with a friend). This is one of the most unique places on the planet! And it's only an hour's drive away from us. If you go, try to go on a full moon night - they let you stay until an hour after dark. It's worth it. I heard the overnight camping spots are first come first served and disappear quickly so I haven't bothered to get into that.

JDTH, same time all the time? how can you stand it???!!! 100 degrees at 10 p.m.? now that what I call the fryin' pan! I'll quit whining about our weather now.
If we used daylight savings time it would be 100 at 11:00.

The day it reached 122 it was 100 degrees at 8:00 a.m. I will admit that was f***ing HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chilegal, it's a plan....

JDTH, you need to get to Ruidoso. That's just too hot, although it would be alot worse with the humidity.

Fnord, let's all get together and go.

There used to be a city (Tuba City) that was half in Arizona and half in Nevada or California (I'm not sure which), but half the town was on one time and the other half on another so if you had an appointment you had to double check what time zone you were in.

I am pretty much sure Tuba City is still there, but I think they worked out the bugs on the time zones.

Crazy stuff, but funny!
