Oh, really?
Hmpff. Pintada Kid, I'd like to see you duplicate my bass lines on your guitar while you are playing lead and rhythm.
I want everyone to need a band, so I can move out there to NM and keep myself alive!

Catman loves his jazz. I'm all over the board on music from 50's Rock to Flamenco guitar to jazz to Motown to folk to traditional jazz to celtic to bluegrass to classic rock to classical to soundtrack music. My favorite band is the Moody Blues because they always sing about positive things, positive relations. They are as upbeat as any band I know, and I'm very fortunate to have met them in person. Quality band, quality musicians. And even better people!

Moody Blues and Elvis
As a Teenager i use to have a Moody Blues Tape and my Favorite song by them was A Question Of Balance? Are the Moody Blues still making Music? Credence was a Great Band and the Rolling Stones and the Eagles are Great and The Legends of the Past like Elvis and Ricky Nelson i like to do immitations of them. Didnt Elvis get beat up in Albuquerque many years ago and he never wanted to come back to N.M.? Also George Strait? el pintada kid

PK! They are! Sadly they are not topping charts like they used to but in 2000 they put out a cd called Strange Times and a few years ago put out a great cd called December Snow, their first Christmas CD. There a LOT of of Moody Fans in New Mexico; have seen them at the Palo Saleri in Santa Fe, Tingley Colosseum in Albuquerque, Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, and the Star Casino in Bernalillo. All of those concerts were sellouts.

PK: I answered your question in detail in the Musicians thread. Double H, I like lots of music besides jazz, including The Moody Blues. I often listen to classic rock (especially late 60s-early 70s) and classical music too.

In My Opinion
The Best Music and most HIts were made in the 60s and 70s what a Great time to be a Teenager. The Ventures the Beach boys, Elvis, Credence, Rolling Stones, Beatles, everybody was making a hit and they were Great. Alabama made what 18 number one hits in a Row and the Eagles have been around since 1972 i think. Even Walter Brennan the Real McCoy made a number one hit with his Spoken song Old Rivers. el pintada kid

You're right about that, although by 1966 I wasn't a teenager any longer. I was and still am a huge Beach Boys fan, especially of their later albums that most people didn't hear. Their harmony was just so good. I remember Old Man Rivers too! I was in a band called Dallas County in the early 70s that had a four-piece horn section and played all the Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears stuff, in addition to originals. It was a very fine band, and a lot of fun too.
