I agree about Aztec...it's a really nice town very close to Farmington and as a bonus abit closer to Colorado too....from Aztec you can visit Durango and the San Juan Mtns easily without having to actually live in those overpriced places and being at a relatively lower elevation in NM (5500') you enjoy warmer weather (and less snow too)....Aztec has good demographics...check out the stats on city data ....Aztec impressed me and conversely Bloomfield did not ...a kinda rough place

Default tks iluvnm & lura

Appreciate the reply to my inquiry to Farmington area, Aztec/Bloomfield.
I need to get over there and check it out for myself.

I have heard good things about Aztec mostly.

However, someone that drove thru recently said it looked trashy and was crowded with trailer houses, "stacked like cord wood" with no landscaping and very desert. ?????????

Be aware that all three towns have areas that look trashy and have a number of trailers scattered throughout. I looked at homes mostly in Farmington earlier this year, but also covered Bloomfield and Aztec. But there are also very nice/pretty areas, so as usual, it depends on where you go. It is desert with mountains/mesas that can be seen in the distance--more so in Aztec because it's closer to the CO state line.
