Calling all Foodies - NM Cuisine?
Hi everyone
I'm going to be moving to NM soon, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share with me some of the local cuisine of NM? I believe in exploring different cultures through food...and it's so fun and tasty too!
So perhaps sharing what you like about NM cooking, and/or maybe a favorite/family recipe?
Thanks!
Mina

You won't be able to avoid it, once you get here. New Mex/Mex restaurants pretty much dominate the dining out scene. Even the bad stuff is pretty good.

Fry bread.
Navajo taco.
Mmmmmmm. You have to stop on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and eat fry bread to appreciate it.

And since they don't put nutritional labels on fry bread, I'll just have to guess at the calories in it but I'm gonna say somewhere in the 10,000 range. Wouldn't you fry bread fans think that's about right?

Green chile cheeseburgers, loaded with calories but worth every one of them.
