Question Rock polishers..

Lookin to get my wife a rock polisher for Christmas. Maybe something that can do agate and pieces up to maybe 2"?

We have collected a bunch of rocks and some would look great polished up.

Tried the Hobby Forum no results.

So, New Mexico must have some polishers etc.

Budget about $150.00.

Happy trails,

HW

Hi Hunter! I'm sorry it's taken me all this time to remember the name of a place you can order what you are looking for!
Off and on all week, then tonite shopping, it hit me, then went on line to see if they were still in business

Edmunds Scientific! Boing! It hit me
I used to order things for the nieces and nephews from them, especially Christmas time, but that's been before the ease of the internet LOL
Haven't had one of the hard copy catalogs in a good long while

AND they are definitely Still in business! And you should even in the next few days, be very able to order something and get it in plenty of time for Christmas
I'd just use the 800# and call them.

The first is the exact URL: http://www.scientificsonline.com

Go there, they've got about 8 different ones to pick from and right price ranges. Just put 'rock polishers' or tumblers in their search box.

This second one is for all sort of cool things and links to them, science, opticals, medical, you name it. {I think I saw a 'green' section too there} Teachers things and by age groups etc.

www.edsci.com

Now last resort, if that should fail {I don't think it will!}, is to go to a Hobby business. The large one I know of in the Midwest is called Hobby Lobby. They are huge. A chain business, but I don't know if they are in or near NM.

Go to: www.HobbyLobby.com
Do a location/state search if you need to. See where the closest one to you might be. I don't know if they do online/phone orders or not.

But I think you'll be happy with Edmunds Scientific
And maybe not for just the rock polisher, they have Everything, LOL
I Loved them! Now even I, want to order something, LOL

Good luck, I hope I wasn't too late with this for you.

Tia Dalma

Recommend trying Mama's minerals on San Mateo. They also have a web site.

When I had something exceptionally hard that I needed chopped in half (i.e. no Bandsaw or cut-off saw would survive the cut), they had something that fit the bill.

I used to order all kinds of stuff from them a long time ago.

Thanks for the information...I will get on it now.

Happy trails,
