Yay. We handfed buffalos at a wildlife park here in TN a few months ago. I guess being on the school tour (in open trailers and a truck bed, lol) gave us more of an upclose and personal view, of all the critters including the buffalo and the watusi. Beautiful, but skeery to be around.

I thought 'watusi' was a tribe of African humans, noted for being tall (as well as an early-60s rock'n'roll dance). Also, I think 'buffalo' is the plural and singular form (as in "a herd of buffalo"), much like sheep and deer.

Skeery lookin' critters, but seemed pretty tame. There are some in the Abq. zoo as well. Hard to see them through the log enclosure. Those aren't my pics, they're just ones I found on the net. I'll try to get mine uploaded soon.

I am female, 42, married for almost 16 years to my true love. I have 1 daughter 23 and 4 sons 20, 14, 11, and 8. I can't forget my 2 doggies. I like to read, cook, garden and help my hubby do his woodworking in his spare time. We are back in Alamogordo after leaving and going to Silver City and then to Carlsbad. Have to add it sure is nice to be back in Alamo. I am Texas born and raised but love NM. Oh yeah you can add me to the map too.
