Nice and mild in Timberon although I was in Ruidoso today grocering and it's got a lot of snowcovered places. Wind was blowing hard and a little rain.

My wife and I scampered over to warm and sunny Tucson from Mesilla to spend the holidays with my mother. We watched the snow piling up on the cacti all day today.....

I drove from Farmington to Albuquerque and back on the 23rd, and then down again last night and back this morning. New Mexico has to have the worst highway department in the country. Cars and trucks all over the place, TWO STATE POLICEMEN over in the bar ditch, and tragically a terrible accident that killed two. And not a damn snowplow between the Apache's Golden Nugget Casino and Bloomfield.

Idiots. It's inexcusable to not be plowing and sanding that highway 24/7 during these storms.
