I like the Bonnie too, especially the T120 version which looks most like the old Meriden Triumph Bonnevilles. I used to have a Yamaha 650 twin, and it was a great bike, ridden to NM and back several times. Of course, it was patterned after the old British vertical twins.

You may have been referring to the new huge 1600 Bonneville, which to me is just too big and heavy. I like motorcycles which can be flicked around a bit more easily.

Nope. I was talking about the 875 cc Bonneville. I do not like the "cruiser" or the road racer crouch riding positions. I just like to sit up and ride.

The V-Max is beyond awesome. It totally smokes every bike on the road at present. Coyote has two. One has been stripped of its cat converters/mufflers prior to a custom exhaust fit, big tire/swing arm and suspension modification. They have made a few runs with this terror-machine up north and it makes most other bikes seem like they are standing still, head to head. We fired it up and it's about 130+dcbls. at least! Makes the loudest Harley you ever heard sound tame!!!!! Plus it's three times more powerful and vastly quicker. What a machine! Next door my buddy has taken a mgt. position with Top Gun Motorcycles and they have HD's, metrics, Euro's and a $250K OCC CHOPPER!!!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS scooter indeed! My, my what motorcycle eye candy! What a day!

Top Gun has bikes of all flavors, not just Harley Davidson's as they did when they opened a few anos ago. They have an apparel shop and just obtained a liquor license for a radical bar/restaurant they are adding to the bike shop!!!!!!! Liquor and bikes together? That may prove challenging to operate! The insanely beautiful OCC chopper will grace these enterprises presumably...one does not subject a gorgeous $250,000 motorcycle art-form to the cruelties of the open road! That baby will never wear out a set of tires...or probably ever drink a tank of petrol! Display only, ladies and gentz!
Next door is Coyote Motorports featuring more diverse motorcraft and those savage V-Max monsters! Pretty damn cool landing spot for those of us who fancy these over-the-top two wheeled steeds!!!!!!!

GregW: I'm with you all the way. Motorcycles should be ridden in comfort, for long distances. I'm not talking about luxo-tourers mecessarily, although they're great if you're stuck with riding on the Interstate highways all the time. But I'm not! I suppose I'm still influenced by the old TV show Then Came Bronson. I like having my feet under me and my back in a slight forward lean, with no windshield. That's confortable for hundreds of miles!

That model is a nice bike. I've been to the Honda shop to have a look at it before.

Longest bike rides so far were Tucson to San Francisco and SF to NYC via Los Alamos. I still remember the ride up Rt 285 toward Denver.
