Or so you hear every election cycle . . . although actual evidence of it is very rare. Certainly not significant enough to change election results. Shouldn't we rather err on the side of inclusion?

No, I don't think so. It undermines the election process.

It also exclude people who are less inclined to vote like you do.

Shouldn't we try to make it easier for all eligible voters to participate in the election process so that we have truly representative government? Or is the goal to keep people on the margins of society out of the process, since we really don't want their voices heard, anyway?
I'm not real sure it's better with people who vote like they're choosing some kind of celebrity or rock star. What if only people who read about politics, who think a lot about it, who understand the concepts in the Constitution, who understand the balance of power and our form of government were to be the only ones who vote?

The way it's become, it's about which candidate has the better hair style, which one promises the most promises, who wears the best clothes, has a television presence.

I got married in another state and when we applied for the license, they looked at my Husband's New Mexico driver's license and asked to see his passport.

There's a reason New Mexico is the only state that has USA written on it's vehicle license plates.

Spot on Mike.....as when i go back east to visit relatives in Georgia and Florida i get the same questions from the locales about what's it like to live in a foreign country.

Some voters are illiterate in two langugages...their native one and English!
Wooo! Can you imagine the low voter turnout?
